Milford High School Building Committee unanimously picks Consigli Construction as project manager
School Committee · Meeting of July 15, 2026
Milford High School Building Committee selects Consigli Construction as construction manager at risk. The committee voted unanimously at its July 15 meeting to contract with Consigli after a two-phase, Inspector General-approved selection process that drew three qualifying firms and concluded with finalist interviews on June 24. Owner's project manager James Reefstahl reported the initial contract with Consigli is set at $150,000 for the current Preferred Schematic Report phase, with a contingent $348,000 pre-construction figure tied to a future town vote.
Committee member Joe Calagione noted that Consigli was not the lowest bidder but said pricing carried little weight this early in the design process, while member Mark emphasized that the chairman of Consigli's board personally attended the firm's interview. The committee also set an October 14 target for its vote on which building design option advances into schematic design, with costs for the competing options — including three scenarios for the school's pool and F-Wing — expected in mid-October after a September 18 estimating kickoff.
