LEOMINSTER — Leominster posted new updates this week on its Monoosnoc Brook Stabilization Project, giving residents a fuller look at the infrastructure work underway across the city, according to the city's website. The city also published new guidance for residents interested in running a home-based business, and the Leominster Public Library set a full slate of programs for kids, teens and adults over the coming week.

The Leominster Public Library has a packed slate Thursday, Aug. 13: a Brown Bag Book Group discussing "The Light Between Oceans" by M.L. Stedman at noon, a Pop-Up Storytime at 10 a.m., a Sea Shell Decoupage Workshop for kids at 3 p.m., a Teen Movie Thursday screening of "Twisters" at 4 p.m. and a Jeopardy Game Night for adults at 6:30 p.m., according to the library's calendar.
The library's schedule continues the following week with Chess Club and a Strega Mama storytime featuring the character Oona both set for Monday, Aug. 17. An English Conversation Class and the Literary Leominster Book Club follow Tuesday, Aug. 18, and Teen Writers Club meets Wednesday, Aug. 19. The library canceled its Teen Tournament Tuesday session originally set for Aug. 18.
