Hubbardston Zoning Board Approves One Variance, Denies Another Tuesday

HUBBARDSTON — January 20, 2026 — Hubbardston Zoning Board of Appeals split its decisions Tuesday, approving one setback variance and unanimously denying another. The board voted 4-0 to grant a variance at 1580 Old Westminster Road, with a condition requiring any future structure to remain at least 20 feet from the southwest side setback line — a departure from the standard 30-foot requirement. The board then voted 4-0 to deny a variance application at 43 Pitchville Road, with no discussion recorded before the motion carried. Members Carrie, Katrina, Zeff, and Bill Holman all voted yes on both motions. No members of the public attended in person or remotely.
