Hubbardston Select Board Reappoints Foley, Enters Executive Session on Town Administrator

HUBBARDSTON — May 21, 2026 — Hubbardston Select Board reappoints Laura Foley to the Cultural Council and enters executive session on Town Administrator contract. The board met for a special session Thursday, May 21, with members Jeff Williams, Katie Young, Peter Walker, and Kris Pareago present, adjourning its open meeting at 7:13 p.m. after just five minutes of public business. Member Young moved the sole consent-agenda item — Foley's reappointment — which was seconded by Member Walker and approved unanimously. Before adjourning, members discussed a compressed pre-Town Meeting calendar involving a Finance Committee meeting, a Building Committee scheduling conflict, and a pending coordination session with the Town Moderator, leaving the board's next meeting date as to be determined. The board then entered executive session under MGL Chapter 30A, Section 21(a)(2), to negotiate contract terms with Town Administrator candidate Alex Magee.
