Finance Committee · Meeting of October 8, 2026

Westborough's Finance Committee voted to order more town meeting booklets and punt a vote on a drone bylaw. The Westborough Advisory Finance Committee voted 7-0 to print 400 copies of its Report and Recommendations booklet for Fall Town Meeting, up from 350 last year, and approved the booklet's final text by the same margin. Member Andrew Bradley, who assembled most of the document, reported the committee ran out of time to review a special-permit zoning article for a new downtown business district before the printer's deadline and will announce its recommendation from the Town Meeting floor instead.

The committee also disclosed it has not yet voted on a proposed drone bylaw, Article 8, and scheduled an added session for the following Thursday to settle it before Town Meeting. Minutes from the October 5 meeting were approved 6-0. "We did actually choose not to vote on this because we didn't see it," one member said of the zoning article.
