Douglas Youth Baseball and Softball League is planning a Fall 2026 pre-season coaches meeting as it renews its push for T-ball volunteers.

DOUGLAS -- Douglas Youth Baseball and Softball League said this week that it "will be hosting a Fall 2026 pre-season coaches meeting," though location and time are still "forthcoming."

YOUTH LEAGUES -- The league said it remains dependent on volunteer coaches "at every level" and is "particularly interested in coaches at the T-ball level since we have several teams competing in that division." According to the league, coaching experience is not required for T-ball, with instruction described as "very basic." Teams at that level are kept intentionally small, six to eight players, and the league said it "will provide all equipment and any guidance throughout the season." Anyone interested in coaching can sign up through the league's Coach Registration Form, the league said.
