Conservation · Meeting of November 4, 2026

Berlin's Conservation Commission committed $9,639 from its open space fund to reroute a Mount Pisgah trail. Members chose the lower of two bids, about $9,600 against about $24,500, after a member said the low bidder's earlier Clark Conservation work needed no corrections. The commission also reimbursed $267.67 to Adrian AJ Moses Jr. for a conservation conference and vernal pool sign materials, canceled its Dec. 16 meeting, and introduced new conservation agent Christian Smith.

A member said contractors relocated utility poles at the South Street bridge without a wetlands filing, and the commission expects to request an after-the-fact Notice of Intent.
