Grafton's Conservation Commission continued a hearing on a proposed McDonald's at 92 Worcester Street to November 10.
Conservation · Meeting of October 27, 2026
Grafton's Conservation Commission continued a hearing on a proposed McDonald's at 92 Worcester Street to November 10. Engineer Connor Ennis of Boulder Engineering, representing McDonald's USA LLC, sought waivers from the town's wetlands and stormwater bylaws, including one to place a trash enclosure inside a 25-foot no-disturb buffer and another to reduce a required 50 percent phosphorus removal standard to roughly 30 percent. A member said their "biggest concern is that it's within that 25-foot no-disturb zone." Chair Sandra Brock pressed the applicant to "be creative" with phosphorus calculations rather than rely on "a pure percentage." The commission, which had not yet received stormwater peer review, voted 4-0 to continue the hearing.
Members also approved October 13 minutes, adopted a 2027 meeting schedule and issued a certificate of compliance for 9 Indian Path, all by unanimous 4-0 roll calls.
