GRAFTON — The Charter Review Committee drafted tentative subcommittee assignments and deferred creating the groups until its next meeting. Nine of 15 members attended, one more than the eight needed for quorum. Members favored three-person subcommittees by charter article and leaned toward separate warrant articles for the town manager change, fire chief appointment and fiscal calendar.
A member proposed barring Select Board members from anonymous clicker votes at Town Meeting, and others suggested it belongs in the bylaws. The committee also backed dropping the charter's separate "General Laws" definition, pending a check with town counsel. It approved the prior minutes unanimously and aimed for next year's fall Town Meeting.
