Auburn Planning Board Unanimously Approves 10-Bay Indoor Golf Simulator on Southbridge Street

AUBURN — June 9, 2026 — Auburn approves indoor golf simulator on Southbridge Street, installs new board chair. The Auburn Planning Board voted unanimously Tuesday to approve a site plan for a 10-bay indoor golf simulator facility at 615 Southbridge Street, submitted by Mast Futures LLC, after the applicant reduced the building footprint from 17,860 square feet to 16,294 square feet and increased parking from 33 to 40 spaces in response to board feedback. Attorney Adam Baldorelli of Fletcher Tilton told the board that peer review comments from Graves Engineering, received the afternoon of the meeting, confirmed all concerns had been addressed. The board also approved two landscape waivers — one allowing the plan to be prepared by an engineer rather than a landscape architect, the other waiving the buffer zone tree requirement — and added conditions requiring updated photometric and elevation drawings. In a separate action, the board unanimously elected Ron Brooks as the new Chair and Glenn Feldman as Vice Chair after Jason Asirifi announced he was stepping down from the chair role due to work obligations.
