SOUTHBOROUGH — The Southborough Zoning Board of Appeals continued two hearings to Sept. 16 and held a forum on a draft two-family bylaw. Eric Russell of Harrington Heath, representing the Southborough Historical Society, asked for more time on its appeal of the building commissioner's denial of a certificate of occupancy at 40 to 42 Central Street, citing a July 21 state building code appeals hearing. The board also continued the Bartolini Properties LLC special permit at 0 North Moral Road, both on roll calls of 5-0.
At the forum, Planning Board member Debbie de Murray questioned the draft's "townhouse" wording, and Ray Hokenson said he "just panicked" at first. The draft would remove a two-year waiting period and add a definition of two-family dwelling.
