Winchendon Debuts First Toy Town Christmas Ornament

WINCHENDON — Winchendon this week launched its first-ever Toy Town Christmas keepsake ornament, a limited-edition design featuring Clyde that town officials hope will become a treasured annual tradition. The town also posted a new call for volunteers to serve on boards and committees and released its July 2026 roundup of department updates.

The town began selling the 2026 Toy Town Christmas keepsake ornament this week, the first release in what officials describe as a hoped-for annual series. The ornament, featuring Clyde, is available online, at the Planning and Development Office inside Town Hall at 109 Front Street, and at To Each His Own Design.

Town Hall also posted a notice of vacancies for July 2026, seeking residents to volunteer for openings on town boards and committees. Separately, the town published its July 2026 department updates, a compiled look at recent activity across municipal offices.

COMING UP

Beals Memorial Library holds Storytime on Friday, Aug. 21. The Board of Selectmen meets Monday, Aug. 24, the same day the library hosts Lego Club and its Cookbook Book Club. The Beals Memorial Library Board of Trustees meets Tuesday, Aug. 25, and the Economic Development Task Force meets Wednesday, Aug. 26. Thursday, Aug. 27 brings the library's CFCE Preschool Playgroup and Community Game Night, along with Bingo at the Hub.
