Southbridge Conservation Commission Continues Wetlands Filing to April 2

SOUTHBRIDGE — March 19, 2026 — Southbridge Conservation Commission continues wetlands filing and flags potential riverbank hazard. The commission voted to continue a Notice of Intent filed by CRB Development — proposing a single-family home, associated site work, and a private sewer system in the buffer zone of a bordering vegetated wetland and riverfront area on a lane described as parcels 25, 26, and 27 — to its April 2 meeting at 6:15 p.m., with members identified as Kevin, Natasha, and Maureen all voting in favor. Members also discussed an active enforcement matter involving alleged violations of existing orders of conditions on a separate property, with one member stating "if he's violating the orders, we can go ahead and enforce the order." A commission member separately raised what was described as a potential structural hazard along a riverbank — involving two deteriorated areas between a riverbank and an occupied building — and indicated signatures for an emergency or urgent order would follow outside the meeting.
