Shrewsbury Conservation Commission lifted two enforcement orders tied to a stalled Green Street subdivision project. Engineer Scott Morrison of BHB told the board that stockpiles had been "hydro-seeded with grass cover" and the adjacent stream ran clear, prompting a unanimous vote to lift both orders under case 285-2024, with monthly status reports required going forward. The commission separately issued negative determinations for four smaller projects, including tree removal at 92 School Street and a warehouse redevelopment at 333 South Street, where project manager Casey Birch requested a waiver for a winter wetland delineation.
Three larger filings, a car dealership at 957 Boston Turnpike and homes at 40 Westview Avenue and 255 Gull Street, were continued to September 15 pending state permit and stream-crossing compliance questions. Members voiced frustration over two still-open enforcement cases, with one saying of a stalled North Quinsigamond Avenue site, "we've asked and asked and asked."
