Board of Selectmen · Meeting of April 9, 2026
Warren selectmen voted to sign a $22,000 contract with the Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission to develop the town's first housing production plan. Building Commissioner Bill Cantel told the board 33 of 49 multifamily rental properties still have not complied with state-required safety inspections, and that Palace Church in Boston remains under a stop-work order for unpermitted repairs at its Warren property. Engineer Sean Pringle of Tighe & Bond presented a $280,000 plan to fix Senior Center ductwork and add mini-split units; selectmen sent him back to study a basement option first.
Town Administrator Jim warned "we're going to have a 2.5 override question" if the Quaboag Regional School District's $1.5 million above-minimum budget holds. Selectmen also approved a $1,300 GZA Geo-Environmental contract amendment for Cutter Park and signed off on $1,159,900.16 in warrants.
