Select Board · Meeting of June 11, 2026

BOLTON — The Bolton Select Board voted unanimously to appoint nine members to a new Town Building Task Force studying whether to keep or sell Town Hall and the Houghton Building. Board members Brian Boyle, Bill Nickles and Kate Buyuk interviewed six applicants, including Matt Bosselait, Duane Clocker, Ken Troup, Bob Czekanski, Su Mittra and Bruce Slater, before seating all six plus Panny Gerken, James Barr and Bob Busche. Nickles said a larger group would "fill the bench" and ease quorum rules, while Bosselait told the board "doing nothing to me is not an option." The board set a December 2026 draft-report deadline and a February 2027 final report, with findings possibly reaching the May 2027 town meeting.

Buyuk warned incoming members the issue is "going to be a very controversial issue in town."
