School Committee · Meeting of November 4, 2026
Northborough K-8 School Committee voted 4-0 to keep preschool classrooms in the new Peasley school. Administrators said about 25 pre-K students receive special education services, with the latest design calling for potentially four classrooms, and a member warned the district would be doing "a disservice to the community and the taxpayers" by dropping it. The committee also accepted $1,041,688 in fiscal 2027 grants, a $7,105 sign from the Melican PTO and $234,254.66 in budget transfers.
Administrators previewed a $34,054,247 fiscal 2028 budget, up 6.16 percent, and said a 3 percent budget would require another $1,015,100 in cuts.
