Rutland trims Town Hall and library hours starting July 1

**Friday, July 3** — Town Hall and the Town Annex are operating under reduced hours beginning this week. Starting July 1, hours of operation have been cut back; residents should check the town website at townofrutland.org or call 508-886-4100 to confirm current schedules before making a trip.

**Friday, July 3** — The Rutland Free Public Library is also running on a new, trimmed schedule as of July 1, reflecting budget constraints. The library is now open Tuesday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday noon to 8 p.m., and Friday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday hours are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., though the library remains closed Saturdays between Memorial Day and Labor Day. **Saturday, July 4** — Rutland kicks off Independence Day with a community pancake breakfast. The town is inviting residents to start the holiday morning with some pancakes; details on time and location are posted on the town's News & Announcements page at townofrutland.org.
