Rutland closes town offices and library for Independence Day

**Saturday, July 4** — Town offices and the Rutland Free Public Library are closed today in observance of Independence Day. Residents can reach the town at 508-886-4100 for non-emergency matters when normal operations resume.

**Tuesday, July 7, 5:30 p.m.** — The Select Board holds its next regular meeting. Residents can find the agenda posted on the town's meeting calendar at townofrutland.org.

**Tuesday, July 7, 5:30 p.m.** — The Conservation Commission also meets Tuesday evening. The agenda is available through the town's online calendar.

**Thursday, July 9, time TBD** — The Finance Committee is scheduled to meet. Check townofrutland.org for agenda details as they are posted.

**Note for library patrons:** The Rutland Free Public Library has reduced its hours of operation as of July 1 due to budget constraints. New hours are Tuesday 10 a.m.–6 p.m., Wednesday 10 a.m.–8 p.m., Thursday noon–8 p.m., Friday 10 a.m.–1 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m.–1 p.m. The library remains closed Saturdays between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
