Clinton Retirement Board adopted new pay recommendations for its administrator and assistant administrator at its May 27 meeting. A member, reporting for a subcommittee that also included Joseph Casasanto, said the panel updated the administrator's salary "consistent with the other department heads" after the Finance Committee approved the classification, and recommended a 2.5 percent raise for the assistant administrator. The board approved a $596,372.05 May warrant, transferred retirement accounts for Rennie Carrasco and Nicholas Nizio, and enrolled new DPW laborers Douglas Ladner and Zachary Van Mart effective May 18.
Administrator Patricia Hazel reported April investment returns of 4.12 percent and said she had corrected a bookkeeping error that misclassified a $48.94 town payment. A member asked for an update on a long-pending MTRS settlement, unresolved for about nine months.
