Pickleball Tournament, Community Day Set for Nelson Ball Courts Aug. 30

Nelson Ball Pickleball Courts on Lyman Street will host Westborough's third annual Connect at the Courts Pickleball Tournament and Community Day on Aug. 30, anchoring a stretch of school and library programming set for the week ahead.

SCHOOLS

Westborough Public Schools will hold Newcomer Tours for incoming families at Armstrong Elementary School, 18 Fisher St., on Aug. 24 at 4 p.m., giving new students and parents a look at the building ahead of the school year.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

The Westborough Public Library, at its WPL @ The Commons space on Union Street, has scheduled two Rhyme Time Storytime sessions on Aug. 25, at 10 a.m. and 10:35 a.m., followed by an evening Conversation Circles program at 6:30 p.m. in the library's Small Program Room.

Separately, Nelson Ball Pickleball Courts will host the third annual Connect at the Courts Pickleball Tournament and Community Day starting at 8 a.m. on Aug. 30, combining organized pickleball play with community activities at the Lyman Street courts.

COMING UP

The Rotary Club of Westborough holds its regular meeting Aug. 26 at noon at Tatnuck Bookseller in the Lyman Street shopping center. Armstrong Elementary's Newcomer Tours run Aug. 24 at 4 p.m., and the library's Rhyme Time Storytime and Conversation Circles programs are set for Aug. 25, all detailed above.
