Northborough Council on Aging Assigns Members to Lead Senior Center Stakeholder Outreach

NORTHBOROUGH — May 13, 2026 — Northborough Council on Aging launches stakeholder interview campaign for Senior Center strategic plan. The board, chaired by Fred Bastrand, spent the bulk of its May 13 meeting assigning members to lead focus groups and interviews with more than a dozen groups — including the Dull Men's Club, sewing and quilting groups, the Mahjong group, civic organizations, and town department directors — with the Select Board targeted last, after survey data is compiled. A community survey currently in circulation has gathered roughly 20 responses; it will be featured in the local community newspaper the week of May 23 and closes at month's end, with paper copies now available at the library and Senior Center. The Friends of the Senior Center reported $18,893 in annual appeal gross receipts and announced a $1,100 designated donation for a new laptop and projector, funds already delivered to the center. All stakeholder outreach is expected to be substantially complete by the July meeting, with strategic priorities to be developed from the compiled findings.
