New Art Exhibit Opens at Leominster Library This Week

DATELINE — LEOMINSTER — The Leominster Public Library opens a new art exhibit this week, and the city's fall calendar is filling in fast with a citywide yard sale, a food truck and craft beer festival, and back-to-back business ribbon cuttings all set for the coming days.

COMMUNITY & ARTS The library's "Many Pieces One Image" art exhibit opens Wednesday, Sept. 2, with an artist's reception the following evening, Thursday, Sept. 3, from 5 to 8:45 p.m. The show is part of the library's ongoing fall lineup, which this week also includes a chair yoga class for pain and stress relief and a teen writing club session, both held Wednesday.

COMING UP The city's public events calendar is busy through mid-September. The Board of Health meets Wednesday, Sept. 2, at City Hall. Village Canine Grooming holds a ribbon cutting Thursday, Sept. 3, followed by Upscale Consignment's ribbon cutting on Thursday, Sept. 10. The Citywide Yard Sale is set for Saturday, Sept. 5, and a Food Truck & Craft Beer Festival follows Friday, Sept. 11. The weekend after brings the Honeycrisp Harvest Celebration, running Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 12 and 13. At the library, teens can catch a "Start of School Henna" event Thursday, Sept. 3, and younger kids have Preschool Yoga on Friday, Sept. 4, and a Family Fun Night themed around colors on Wednesday, Sept. 9.
