Leominster Library Packs Week With Film Night, Craft Events

The Leominster Public Library's summer calendar keeps churning through the week with a fresh round of adult, kids, and teen programming, while the city continues to digest the newly opened downtown parking garage and lingering questions about the looming school bus driver strike.

TOWN HALL

City Hall's News Flash feed had no new items in the coverage window. The Downtown Public Parking Garage, which opened recently, remains a point of civic pride for the Mazzarella administration as officials continue promoting the Monoosnoc Brook Stabilization Project and gathering feedback on home-business regulations through the city's FAQ postings.

SCHOOLS

Leominster Public Schools' website continues to flag "IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THE FIRST STUDENT BUS STRIKE" as a standing alert for families, though no new district statement was issued in this window. The district's preschool office confirmed the waitlist for tuition-based peer slots in the 2026-2027 school year remains open for Leominster residents, with children required to turn 3 by August 31, 2026; interested families are directed to call the Bennett Preschool office at 978-534-7704.
