BERLIN — The Berlin Historical Commission weighed a demolition application for Greenhouse No. 2 at its Feb. 13 meeting. Scott Hawkins presented the request, and speakers described a main beam that had given way and a growing tube that had mostly collapsed. A member moved to declare the greenhouse not historically significant, "largely due to decline in its condition." The motion was seconded and called to a vote, but the audio did not capture the result.
The commission also approved the Jan. 9 minutes after an amendment from Barry Eager, and it authorized June Miller to spend the remaining Community Preservation Act archival supply money. Members said boring results for water runoff work at the town center were still pending.
