Hardwick's Only Two Disclosed Home Prices Show Wide Gap In August

HARDWICK -- Nine property transfers were recorded at the Worcester County Registry of Deeds for Hardwick between Aug. 7 and Sept. 5, but only two of those deeds disclosed a sale price, ranging from $12,028 to $260,000.

TOP SALES The highest-priced disclosed transaction was 685 Turkey St., which sold for $260,000 on Aug. 25. The sellers were listed as Julie M. Quink and Suzanne J. Blais; the buyers were Security First Mortgage Funding LLC and Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems Inc.

The second disclosed sale was 2209 Barre Rd., which sold for $12,028 on Aug. 17. The seller was listed as Keith Marchand; the buyer was Urban Development.

The remaining seven recorded transfers did not disclose a sale price and cannot be ranked among the period's top sales by price.

NEIGHBORHOOD BREAKDOWN Turkey Street saw two recorded transfers: 685 Turkey St. ($260,000, sold Aug. 25) and 987 Turkey St. (price not disclosed, sold Aug. 7).

Barre Road also saw two recorded transfers: 1952 Barre Rd. (price not disclosed, sold Aug. 26) and 2209 Barre Rd. ($12,028, sold Aug. 17).

The remaining five transfers were each on separate streets: 103 Clapp Rd. (Aug. 25), 2700 Greenwich Rd. (Aug. 21), 850 North Rd. (Aug. 13), 185 Sessions Rd. (Aug. 10), and one transfer recorded without a specific street address (Aug. 26). None of these five disclosed a sale price.

By price tier, both disclosed sales fall under $500,000: one under $50,000 ($12,028) and one between $50,000 and $500,000 ($260,000). No disclosed sales exceeded $500,000 during the period.

Tardy along with Lisa Surprenant as buyers. The 987 Turkey St. transfer, dated Aug. 7, listed Marilyn E. Frost and Marilyn Frost as sellers and Marilyn E.
