Downtown Sounds Concerts Return This Weekend in Leominster
LEOMINSTER — The city's free Downtown Sounds concert series returns to the calendar this week with back-to-back shows Friday and Saturday, while the Leominster Public Library continues a dense run of adult, teen and kids programming through the end of July.

The City Council is scheduled to meet Monday, July 27, and the Conservation Commission meets the following day, Tuesday, July 28, according to the city's public meetings calendar.
SCHOOLS
Leominster Public Schools' homepage continues to flag the ongoing First Student bus strike situation as the district's top alert heading into the fall term. The district's posted summer busing updates for Johnny Appleseed Elementary and Leominster High School, both revised July 10, remain the latest guidance available to families.

Downtown Sounds, the city's outdoor concert series, has shows listed for Friday, July 24, and Saturday, July 25, with another date already on the books for Friday, July 31, per the city's events calendar.
The library's kids and teens slate is especially busy this week: a Meet & Greet with a local therapy dog and an "Excellent Ed" story-and-craft session both run Friday, July 24, followed Monday, July 27, by a Romeo Brito-inspired animal sculpture workshop with artist Julie Harrold and a "Circus Dynamics" Bubble Show performance, both open to kids and teens.
