County program saves Westborough taxpayers $1 million on inmate housing

A five-year county program that houses short-term arrestees at the Worcester County Jail instead of local police stations has saved Central Massachusetts communities an estimated $1 million since 2021, with 180 of those arrestees coming from Westborough, according to a report aggregated by Westborough Patch.
