Boylston's Cemetery Commission approved Wreaths Across America's return to the town cemetery on Dec. 19. A presenter identified only as Brian said the event still needs Select Board approval, and described a lack of volunteers on the grounds and a shortage of money for veteran stickers. The American Legion post voted down the sticker idea at 15 cents each, citing its 21 members and a rule against use on government-supplied stones.
Commissioners postponed new burial rates, which would mostly rise by $50, until November, with a Dec. 1 start. They also tabled a Section 2 tree quote and a dump truck replacement; the last truck cost $125,000. Staff said turf was overseeded in six or seven sections.
