CLINTON — The Clinton Cable Commission discussed a budget running well past its $20,000 cap and graduation livestream audio failures. Commission members Mark and Ed, joined by the high school's digital media teacher, said recent spending has trended near $30,000 to $34,000 a year after a new vendor contract raised student pay rates, with no formal correction made since February. "Nobody got back to me to say oh we should, what can we do," Mark said of the overage.
The group discussed amending the student filming contract's five-day production window to "five school days" and building a Google Form to track payments after delays of up to six weeks. No votes were taken. A long-delayed studio renovation, stalled two and a half years, awaits a fourth round of architect calls.
The next meeting was tentatively set for August 11 at 5:30 p.m.
