Athol Library Wraps Escape Room, Duck Contest Continues

The Athol Public Library continues its packed summer calendar this week, with its escape room wrapping its final sessions today while a lighter, ongoing community contest — "Cosplay Ducks!" — keeps residents submitting entries through the end of the month.

The Athol Public Library's "Escape From the Terrible Thicket" escape room holds its last scheduled sessions today, July 23, closing out a run that began July 22, with registration required for participants who haven't yet signed up.

Separately, the library's "Cosplay Ducks!" community submission contest remains open through Friday, July 31 at noon, giving residents through the end of the month to submit entries. Looking further ahead, the library has several new programs on the books for late July and August, including a movie showing of "Ratatouille" on Wednesday, July 29 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., a "Paint by Number Bookmarks" craft session on Tuesday, August 4 from 3:30 to 5 p.m., a "Learn to Make Beeswax Wraps" workshop on Thursday, August 6 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., and a book discussion on a title organizers describe as "a book that could be considered taboo," set for Thursday, August 20 at 5 p.m.
