Athol Library Sets Escape Room, Teen Jeopardy for the Week Ahead

ATHOL — The Athol Public Library has packed its midsummer calendar with programs for teens and families, headlined by a "Terrible Thicket"-themed escape room running multiple sessions July 22 and 23 and a Teen Jeopardy contest Monday, July 20.

The library's escape room, "Escape From the Terrible Thicket," runs July 22 and 23 with multiple sessions; registration is required. Teens can compete in a Teen Jeopardy contest Monday, July 20, at 3:30 p.m., and the library's Graphic Novel Club will discuss "Amulet" on Thursday, Aug. 13, from 4 to 5 p.m. for ages 8 to 13.

Craft programming continues through the summer as well: a beaded-bracelets session is set for Thursday, July 30, from 3:30 to 5 p.m., and a beeswax-wraps workshop follows Thursday, Aug. 6, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The library is also collecting entries for its "Cosplay Ducks!" contest, with submissions open through Friday, July 31, at noon.
