Athol Library Opens Registration for Late-July Escape Room

ATHOL — Athol Public Library is filling the back half of July and into August with a run of hands-on programming, headlined by a two-day escape room challenge later this month and an ongoing duck-themed craft contest that closes July 31.

The library's July calendar centers on "Escape From the Terrible Thicket," a registration-required escape room running in multiple sessions July 22 and 23. Registration is required and space is limited, according to the library.

Also on the near-term calendar: Teen Jeopardy on Monday, July 20 at 3:30 p.m.; a beaded bracelets craft session Thursday, July 30 from 3:30 to 5 p.m.; and the library's "Cosplay Ducks!" submission contest, open for entries through Friday, July 31 at noon. Looking further out, the library has scheduled a beeswax wraps workshop for Wednesday, August 6 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., and a Graphic Novel Club session on "Amulet" for children ages 8 to 13 on Thursday, August 13 from 4 to 5 p.m.
