The Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners provisionally awarded Stevens Memorial Library a Library Services and Technology Act grant worth $20,000. The funding will support "At the Table: Food Literacy from the Ground Up," a new initiative the library says will give patrons of all ages a chance to build lifelong food literacy skills as part of its role as a community center. Library Director Jess Mynes leads the Memorial Drive library, which serves more than 6,000 Ashburnham residents.

The library also rolled out its FY26-29 Strategic Plan this week. Library officials said the plan builds on the prior strategic plan and reflects updated objectives that came out of conversations with library stakeholders over the past year.
